Blink Introduces Seamless Flight Booking with Royal Jordanian on Its App
In a first-of-its-kind experience in the Kingdom, the digital bank Blink, a subsidiary of Capital Bank and a leader in providing innovative banking solutions in Jordan, has announced a new feature that allows customers to book flights with Royal Jordanian (RJ), the Kingdom's national carrier, effortlessly and securely via its mobile app. This pioneering service offers a unique and streamlined booking and payment experience directly through the app.
This initiative is part of Blink's vision to empower customers with digital solutions, simplifying both banking and non-banking transactions securely by establishing partnerships with other entities, thus expanding the reach and impact of digital transformation across the Kingdom.
Zein Malhas, CEO of Blink, emphasized the bank's dedication to providing a simple, efficient, fast, and secure banking experience that surpasses traditional financial services. She highlighted that the collaboration with Royal Jordanian represents a key strategic move, furthering Blink’s mission to deliver innovative digital services.
"Our goal is to cater to our customers' needs by offering a unique and simplified travel experience. Now, our customers can book flights with Royal Jordanian Airlines via the Blink app, make payments directly from their accounts, and receive booking confirmations and tickets quickly and easily. This saves both time and effort. We are confident that this feature will significantly enhance our customers' travel experiences," said Malhas. She noted that this service is a substantial step forward in the bank's digital transformation strategy.
Since its inception in 2022, Blink has allowed customers to open bank accounts from their smartphones in 10 minutes. Users can manage their accounts, instantly transfer, and receive funds for free within Blink or through the instant money transfer system CliQ, issue debit and credit cards directly from the app for free, pay bills using the eFAWATEERcom service, purchase electronic vouchers, and withdraw cash from local and international ATMs, among numerous other exclusive features and services for its customers.
