Capital Bank and Queen Rania Foundation Renew Partnership to Support Madrasati and Edraak

Capital Bank and the Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development have renewed their partnership, reaffirming their shared commitment to supporting educational and development initiatives that expand access to learning and strengthen the capabilities of teachers and young people across Jordan.

Under the renewed agreement, Capital Bank will continue supporting the Madrasati initiative and the Edraak platform through the implementation of high-impact programs focused on empowering teachers and enhancing financial literacy among youth and professionals. The partnership reflects the bank's ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and the foundation's vision of expanding the reach and impact of its programs through collaboration with the private sector.

Touleen Barto, Chief Marketing and Corporate Communications Officer at Capital Bank, said, "Renewing our partnership with the Queen Rania Foundation reflects Capital Bank's strong belief in the power of collaboration to create lasting impact in education and community development. This partnership underscores the bank's commitment to advancing social development by supporting teachers and equipping young people with the skills they need to succeed in the future. It also reinforces our corporate social responsibility strategy. In addition, our focus on promoting financial literacy through the Edraak platform aligns closely with the objectives of the bank's Deer Malak umbrella initiative, which aims to empower individuals with the financial knowledge and practical skills needed to build a more sustainable and innovative society."

As part of its support for Madrasati, the bank will contribute to the implementation of the "Proud to Be a Teacher" program, which aims to elevate the teaching profession and highlight teachers' vital role in shaping the future of education. The program provides teachers with supportive learning environments and professional development opportunities that strengthen their sense of purpose and contribute to a more positive school culture. It will be implemented in five schools across Amman and Irbid, with a particular focus on empowering teachers and fostering greater motivation throughout the school community.

Commenting on the partnership, Tala Sweis, Director of Madrasati, said, "We are proud to continue our partnership with Capital Bank, which reflects our shared belief that improving education is a collective responsibility. Supporting teachers and strengthening collaboration between schools and the private sector plays a vital role in developing skills and preparing students for the opportunities and challenges of the future."

For the second consecutive year, Capital Bank will also continue supporting Edraak by developing a series of specialized online courses focused on investing and portfolio management for young people and professionals in Jordan. Designed to strengthen financial capabilities and practical knowledge, the courses will be available through the Edraak platform. The initiative will also include hands-on workshops to help participants apply what they learn in real-world settings.

David Lazaro, Director of Edraak, said, "Financial literacy is an investment in the future of young people. Through our partnership with Capital Bank, we are equipping youth with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed financial decisions and build a more secure financial future."
