Capital Bank announced its sponsorship of the Jordan Young Scientists 2025 initiative, a national program aimed at inspiring and empowering Jordanian youth in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The initiative gives students the chance to explore their research and innovation potential beyond the traditional classroom.

This sponsorship reflects the Bank’s commitment to empowering young people and supporting pioneering initiatives that contribute to building a knowledge-based economy. Touleen Barto, Chief Marketing and Corporate Communications Officer at Capital Bank, noted that supporting the Jordan Young Scientists platform highlights the Bank’s dedication to fostering scientific creativity and creating opportunities for youth to develop practical solutions to real-world challenges. She added that investing in the potential of future generations is a strategic priority for the Bank, as it forms the foundation for a sustainable economy built on knowledge and technology.

The Jordan Young Scientists National Exhibition was hosted at Al Hussein Technical University – King Hussein Business Park, with wide participation from talented students who presented their innovations to an audience of academics, private sector leaders, and civil society organizations. The initiative is organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Ireland in Jordan, the Ministry of Education, the Crown Prince Foundation, and the Queen Rania Foundation, serving as an inspiring model for encouraging scientific research and creativity among youth.

The initiative is built around four core pillars: training programs and mentorship sessions, the national exhibition, a training camp, and international participation in the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition in Dublin, Ireland. This global event provides the winning Jordanian team with an international platform to showcase their achievements and compete with some of the brightest young minds worldwide.
