Capital Bank Supports “Draw a Smile” Initiative and Hosts Iftar at Haya Cultural Center for 100 Children
Capital Bank reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility during the holy month of Ramadan by supporting the 2026 “Draw a Smile” initiative, organized by the Haya Cultural Center. As part of its sponsorship, the bank hosted an Iftar for 100 children supported by SOS Children’s Villages Jordan, in an evening that blended entertainment, education, and the spirit of giving.
This initiative is part of the bank’s annual tradition of organizing Ramadan activities for children without parental care, reflecting its dedication to promoting social solidarity and enhancing the impact of its community engagement programs.
The event featured an interactive experience designed to encourage learning through art and creative activities. Bank employees volunteered to engage with the children in canvas painting, electrical circuit workshops, and cultural theatrical performances. The program also included traditional Ramadan elements such as the Musaharati, as well as active entertainment like a treasure hunt, all within safe and well-organized play areas.
Capital Bank's Chief Marketing and Corporate Communications Officer, Touleen Barto, emphasized that the bank’s participation in this initiative celebrates the spirit of Ramadan and reinforces the culture of giving. She noted that hosting the children reflects the bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that create a lasting positive impact on both children and the wider community.
For her part, Ms. Reem Al-Adwan, General Manager of Haya Cultural Center, explained that this year’s “Draw a Smile” initiative was designed as a comprehensive program combining entertainment, learning, and social interaction. She expressed her appreciation for Capital Bank’s continued support over the years, noting its significant role in the success of the center’s programs and in bringing joy to children during Ramadan. She also highlighted the importance of sustaining this valuable partnership.
Areej AlKhateeb, Director of Fund Development and Communications at the SOS Children's Villages Jordan, stated that the initiative aligns with the organization’s mission to support children through safe environments that foster learning, interaction, and creative expression, helping to nurture their growth and skills. She added that hosting the event at Haya Cultural Center provided a rich and engaging environment that enhanced children’s participation, while the partnership with Capital Bank reflects a strong understanding of the importance of impactful, child-focused initiatives. She praised the bank’s continued support for programs with meaningful humanitarian and developmental value.
During Ramadan, Capital Bank implements a range of social responsibility programs aimed at strengthening partnerships with civil society organizations and promoting the values of compassion and solidarity. Through this collaboration, the bank reaffirms its commitment to supporting national cultural and social institutions, such as Haya Cultural Center and SOS Children’s Villages Jordan, helping to create a supportive and inspiring environment for future generations. This further underscore its role as a leading financial institution that places community service at the heart of its priorities.
